Going the Virtual Way for Training Patient Counsellors

It was real­ly great to be a part of Orbis Indi­an vir­tu­al train­ing which I have attend in the month of September’21. A big thank you to all the high­ly moti­vat­ed and enthu­si­as­tic team and I shall for­ev­er car­ry the expe­ri­ence. Such dif­fer­ent coun­selling tricks and tips I got to learn from var­i­ous depart­ments (pae­di­atric, cataract and glau­co­ma). Last­ly, I would like to men­tion about the ​‘Eye Book’ which is avail­able in var­i­ous lan­guages. It’s a great tool for patient coun­sel­lors. Thank you all once again

I have been work­ing with Orbis India team on Patient com­mu­ni­ca­tion in oph­thalmic prac­tice for the last cou­ple of months. I am impressed with how they metic­u­lous­ly teach com­mu­ni­ca­tion and coun­sel­ing skills to optometrists and patient coun­selors. Irre­spec­tive of the audience’s lan­guage, expe­ri­ence, or readi­ness, the team is con­tin­u­ous­ly striv­ing to make the pro­gram bet­ter and accom­mo­date and address var­i­ous chal­lenges in train­ing. Their readi­ness to revise, remod­el and rework the con­tent, strate­gies, and approach is worth prais­ing. Work­ing with Orbis India and Ken­neth Young­stein has been a rich expe­ri­ence. I find them very will­ing and forth­com­ing to the ideas or solu­tions I sug­gest. This gives me immense sat­is­fac­tion in col­lab­o­rat­ing with them and giv­ing my 100%. I wish them good luck and great success!
